- I don't answer my land line unless I recognize the number on the caller id. Same with my cell. As for email, unless it's a contact I recognize I delete it. I also pay cash for all purchases so between these steps, I've eliminated bothersome email, telemarketers nd information being sold.

- Maybe people would be better served if the census takers omitted the question entirely (Race). People are people whether or not they are German, French Canadian, African-American, Hispanic or Indian.

- I work for a local retailer and used my company discount, a rewards (not credit) card and got it done. I also was very careful and purchased what people need without spending a lot of money. I used cash and am very happy not to be worrying about credit card debt.
